Monocrom FLEX M-2000 Series of Diode Lasers at 2 um is a perfect match for applications in the field of Urology, for treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) (by vaporization, vaporesection, enucleation and vapoenucleation of prostate), Laser Lithotripsy and Soft Tissue Surgery. Instead of using complex laser systems based on flashlight or diode pumped solid state lasers such as Holmium:YAG or a Thulium fiber laser, our product emits light at 2 um directly from a diode laser making it simple, efficient and cost-effective.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the semiconductor material can be designed to emit in the range of wavelengths from 1900 nm to 2600 nm without changing the electro-optical efficiency allowing to adapt the emission wavelength to the absorption coefficient of the soft tissue. The emission mode can be selected to be continuous wave (CW) or Pulsed providing a broad range of operational parameters.<\/p>\n
