Laser Diode Drivers

Our laser diode drivers are current sources using linear regulation architecture in an integrable format: they have their own mechanical housing, but are designed to be built directly into the customer’s equipment rather than used as benchtop units. Compatible with any laser diode within their voltage and current range—loads of up to 50 V—they are a natural complement to the rest of our catalog, without being limited to it.

Peak Current and Continuous Operation
Available with peak currents of 200 A and 500 A, designed for QCW operation in combination with our capacitor banks—also available, sized to customer specifications. With adequate cooling, both models also support continuous-wave (CW) operation at reduced currents of up to 80 A and 120 A respectively. With rise and fall times of 20–25 µs, they ensure fast and stable dynamic response in both regimes.

Control and Monitoring
RS485 communication comes as standard, for direct integration into the control and supervision system of the final equipment.
